Sculptor James Woodford A was commissioned to create ten statues of The Queen’s Beasts flanking the entrance to Westminster Abbey. 65 years later, they stand guard at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, a reminder of that June day in 1953 when she swore a solemn oath to serve the people of Britain and the Commonwealth.
