UK 2012 £2 Charles Dickens PNC

Dated 29 June 1852, this envelope contained a letter from Charles Dickens to Thomas Beard, one of his closest friends, about the journey to Windsor they would be taking the next day: “I have ordered a box of cold mutton sandwiches, some Captains’ biscuits, and a pint and a half of Mild Porter in a bottle. These we shall take with us. And I think - with sich [sic] a basket - we shall be as nearly as possible all right?”
