Tuvalu 2024 50c Lunar Baby Year of The Dragon 1/2oz Silver Coloured Proof Coin

Babies born during the year of the dragon are said to be blessed with the dragon’s instinctive bravery, persistence, intelligence, and good fortune. The reverse portrays a coloured representation of a cute young dragon draped in bunting, and star-shaped motifs. The Chinese character for dragon, the inscription ‘YEAR OF THE DRAGON’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark are also incorporated in the design. The obverse features Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II supplemented by the dates of her reign ‘1952-2022’.
