Tuvalu 2016 50c Cubs Tiger 1/2oz Silver Coloured Proof Coin

The tiger is a large cat native to parts of Asia, India and Russia. Fully grown tigers can weigh in excess of 136 kilograms and measure more than 3 metres long. Female tigers give birth about once every two years. Cubs weigh approximately 1 kilogram when they are born. They are blind and utterly dependent on their mother for food and protection. They learn to hunt from their mother and can catch prey by the time they are around 12 months old. The coin's reverse features two coloured tiger cubs playing in the grass in front of a ruined Indian fort.
