Tuvalu 2010 $1 Great Composers Frédéric Chopin 1810-1849 1oz Silver Proof Coin

In a letter to his family written in 1835, Mendelssohn described Chopin’s piano playing as so masterly that “he may truly be called a perfect virtuoso”. The coin’s reverse depicts a representation of Frédéric Chopin, a treble clef and music notes. As well as The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the design includes the inscription ‘Frédéric Chopin 1810 – 1849’.
