2023 $1 Aussie Big Things The Big Tasmanian Devil PNC

The Big Tasmanian Devil stands at the entrance to the privately owned Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary near the small town of Mole Creek, in northern Tasmania. The sanctuary is situated in 82-acres of bushland and is dedicated to the care and conservation of native wildlife of the region, including the threatened Tasmanian Devil. Created by Jason Monet, the imposing two-by-three-metre statue, fangs bared, both signals the entrance to the sanctuary and promotes its Save the Tasmanian Devil program, which is financed from entry fees and proceeds from the shop.
