Fossils from the skull, limbs and body of this species have been discovered, making it the most complete predatory dinosaur from Australia. Australovenator possessed powerful arms, gracile jaws and slender legs. Based on these features, paleontologists think that the species was a fast, lightweight predator that used its arms and huge claws to capture prey.
