2021 $1 Dreaming Down Under Dingo PNC

The origins of the Dingo (Canis lupis dingo) can be traced to a southern Asian variant of the Grey Wolf, so it is related to the wild canines of our northern neighbours. The earliest archaeological evidence of the Dingo dates back 3,500 years, but recent DNA studies indicate it has been in Australia significantly longer. It occurs in varied habitats across much of the mainland, though is absent in parts of the south and it has never reached Tasmania.
