2020 $2 ANDA Brisbane ANZAC Day 75th Anniversary of The End of WWII 2 PNC Set

Germany’s invasion of Poland on 1 September 1939 and the subsequent declarations of war on Germany by France and the United Kingdom marked the beginning of World War II. The series of events leading to its end included Germany’s surrender to the Western Allies on 8 May 1945 and the dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima on 6 August and Nagasaki on 9 August. This led to Japan’s formal surrender on 2 September 1945.
