2019 $1 Merry Christmas PNC

Perth-based illustrator Rebecca Mills is the creative hand behind this colourful and playful Christmas Island Christmas stamp issue. Through her own distinctive style, she uses bold geometric shapes, strong colours and a flat but textured surface to create a wonderful digital depiction of the festive season. The stamp and coin housed by this cover show Santa and an Abbott's Booby full of anticipation as they pull heartily on a Christmas cracker. The cover shows a bauble-bearing Rudolf, full of Christmas cheer and goodwill, kindly offering a plum pudding to one of the island's Red Crabs.
