2019 $1 6th Portrait A New Effigy Era Uncirculated Coin

In 2019, the Royal Australian Mint welcomes a new effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to feature on Australia's coins. The sixth since the Queen’s coronation in 1953, it replaces the 1998 effigy by Ian Rank-Broadley. This 2019 $1 Uncirculated Coin features both the old and new effigies on one coin. The new obverse was designed by Jody Clark, an engraver from the United Kingdom’s Royal Mint, and on the reverse, the familiar effigy by Ian Rank-Broadley.
