2018 Proof Set

The Royal Australian Mint commemorates the centenary of the Armistice with this evocative six coin Proof Set, featuring a specially designed $1 coin. The signing of the Armistice between Allied and German representatives on 11 November 1918 effectively ended the First World War. Australian troops fought their last action of the war at Montbrehain on 6 October 1918 and were resting behind the lines when the news came that the war was over.
