On 11 November 1918 the allied nations signed an Armistice with Germany that brought an end to the fighting on the Western Front. After two and a half years of bitter fighting in France and Belgium, Australian troops had already fought their last action of the war. Australia made a substantial contribution to the success of the allied forces, but the cost of victory was borne in staggering losses. This six coin Uncirculated Set features a commemorative $1 coin.
