2018 $1 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Borobi PNC

On 4 April 2018, over 6,600 athletes and team officials from 70 nations and territories will converge on the Gold Coast for the XXI Commonwealth Games. With the support of almost 15,000 volunteers the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games will be the largest sporting event Australia has hosted this decade, featuring 18 sports and seven para-sports. Borobi, the GC2018 Mascot, is an energetic, sports-loving, unstoppable koala. Named after the local Aboriginal Yugambeh word for "koala", he is thrilled the Games is being staged in his hometown.
