For 100 years, the Trans-Australian Railway line has united the east and west coasts of Australia, traversing the picturesque Nullarbor Plain. Trade, transport and tourism have all flourished and many whimsical journeys have been taken across land that was once impossible to cross. The 1693 kilometre trail, running between Kalgoorlie and Port Augusta, features 478 kilometres of the world's longest stretch of straight railway track.
