2016 $1 50th Anniversary of Australian Decimal Currency 1oz Silver Proof 2 Coin Set

The Perth Mint was instrumental in the production of much of the low denomination coinage for Australia's conversion to decimal currency in February 1966, including the 1 and 2 cent coins. This set celebrates 50 years since this monumental moment. The reverse of the replica 2 cent coin features the frilled neck lizard design from the original 2 cent coin introduced in 1966. The reverse of the replica 1 cent coin features the feathertail glider design from the original 1 cent coin introduced in 1966. Also included in this set is a 1c and 2c circulating coin.
