2016 20c ANDA Sydney Queen Elizabeth 90th Birthday Maklouf Portrait PNC

To celebrate the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday, the Royal Australian Mint has released special coins featuring effigies of Her Majesty that have appeared on Australian decimal currency since its introduction in 1966. The effigy on the 20c coin featured in this special postal and numismatic cover features artwork by Raphael Maklouf, depicting Her Majesty in her 50s. At this time Her Majesty celebrated another important occasion - her silver jubilee in 1977, marking 25 years as Queen.
