The coin’s reverse depicts an adult kookaburra sitting on a tree stump surrounded by eucalyptus leaves and a fern. The design includes the inscription THE AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA, The Perth Mint’s special ‘P25’ mintmark, and the year-dates 1990 - 2015.
