2015 $5 State Government 125 Years of Western Australia Silver Proof Coin

As Australia's largest state, Western Australia's diversity stretches over 2.5 million square kilometres with the northern tropics, productive farmlands and the Great Sandy Desert.  Between 1850 and 1868, Western Australia was a penal colony. It was granted responsible government in 1890, when its first Parliament was formed. The reverse of this coin depicts the State of Western Australia in front of an evolving Australia.
