2014 $2 Remembrance Day Coloured Uncirculated Coin

The Royal Australian Mint’s third full-colour coin type to be struck for circulation, commemorates Remembrance Day. First World War hostilities formally ended “at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month” in 1918. Many nations have since recognised the 11th of November as a day to honour those who have given their lives in all conflicts across the globe, with this day now known in Australia as Remembrance Day. Uniting a dove, representing peace, with elements the Australian Army's Rising Sun Badge, this full-colour coin forms a fine tribute to their sacrifice.
