2014 $1 Lest We Forget ANZAC Day Uncirculated Coin

Preserving the knowledge of wartime sacrifices by our defence force is important to new generations of Australians, as numbers attending ANZAC Day ceremonies testifies. This tribute to the Royal Australian Navy Submarine Service and the worthy men and women who underpin it, reflects the true ANZAC spirit. The design on this coin portrays the AE2, an E class submarine commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy in 1914. Incorporated into the design is a group-of submariners.
