Named after their distinctive body shape, Humpback Whales are also recognised by their long pectoral fins. These whales roam all the world’s oceans except the Mediterranean. They sieve krill from the sea and feed on small fish. Humpback Whales travel more than 10 000 kilometres each year between their summer feeding grounds at the poles to their more temperate breeding grounds closer to the equator in the winter.
