2013 $1 Korean War 60th Anniversary Uncirculated Coin

Communist forces from North Korea invaded the south on 25 June 1950, beginning the Korean War. Forces from twenty- four countries took part in the conflict, including more than 18 000 members of the Australian Army, Royal Australian Air Force and the Royal Australian Navy. In 1953, three years and one month later, an armistice agreement between communist and United Nations leaders was signed in the village of Panmunjom.
