2013 $1 Black Caviar PNC

Retiring on 17 April 2013, world champion Australian sprinter Black Caviar, the six-year-old mare leaves an extraordinary legacy of 25 wins from 25 starts, including a remarkable record-breaking 15 Australian Group 1 victories. Black Caviar was ranked the best sprinter in the world for three straight years from 2010 to 2012 and in 2013 was inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame. Trained by Melbourne-based Peter Moody, the mare won her first race at Flemington in 2009 and her last at Randwick in April 2013.
