Winter in Australia takes place in the months of June, July and August. The season brings much needed rain, cooler temperatures and renewed growth. The reverse depicts an Australian Green Tree Frog on a branch, against a background of the winter night sky and rain. The inscription WINTER and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark are also incorporated into the design.
