2011 50c Australian Sea Life II The Reef Hawksbill Turtle 1/2oz Silver Coloured Proof Coin

This solitary sea turtle can be found in the coral reefs of Northern Australia. Listed as endangered, the Hawksbill Turtle matures at thirty years of age and has a lifespan of up to fifty years. An adult Hawksbill can grow up to one metre in length. The coin’s reverse depicts a Hawksbill Turtle in colour and includes The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. Incorporated into the design are the inscriptions AUSTRALIAN SEA LIFE II - THE REEF and HAWKSBILL TURTLE.
