2011 20c International Year of Volunteers 10th Anniversary PNC

Volunteers do everything from helping disadvantaged children learn to read, to providing assistance in times or natural disaster, to preservation of our environment. The International Year of Volunteers aims to raise the profile of volunteering and increase the number of people participating in volunteering activities. The anniversary year will culminate in two United Nations General Assembly sessions dedicated to volunteerism and the release or the first-ever report on the State of the World’s Volunteerism.
