Named after prominent public servant John Douglas Story, Brisbane’s Story Bridge was the result of an employment scheme by the Queensland Government during the depression. Opened in 1940, it now attracts many bridge-climbing tourists. This coin has been specifically created by the Royal Australian Mint for the Brisbane ANDA Show. The reverse features the Story Bridge in Brisbane.
