2009 $1 Swimming Australia Celebrating 100 Years of Excellence 1oz Silver Coloured Proof Coin

Swimming Australia Ltd developed out of the Amateur Swimming Union of Australia, founded in 1909, and Australian Swimming Inc, formed in 1984. The coin's reverse depicts Swimming Australia’s official ‘100 years of excellence’ logo and a freestyle swimmer. The water, including splashes composed of silhouetted swimming figures, is portrayed in colour. Also incorporated in the design is The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
