2007 $5 State Government 150 Years of South Australia Silver Proof Coin

From its origins as a colonial administrative body, the South Australian Legislative Council joined with a newly created House of Assembly to inaugurate responsible government in the colony. The new Parliament first met on 22 April 1857. This coin celebrates the 150th anniversary of that event.
