2007 $1 Ocean Series Biscuit Star Coloured Uncirculated Coin

The Biscuit Star (Pentagonatser duebeni), is known for its bright yellow, orange or red plates on the upper surface, separated by white or yellow lines. It lives within rocky reefs and sheltered bays from Shark Bay in Western Australia, around Australia’s southern and eastern coasts to the southern coast of Queensland. Sea stars have no heart or brain. Instead they have a unique vascular system, and system of interconnecting nerves, with an ‘eye’ on the end of each arm which detects light and dark.
