2004 Mint Set

This six coin Uncirculated Set sees the return of Australia’s traditional and well-loved coin designs. Introduced in 1966 when Australia adopted decimal coinage the 5c, 10c and 20c coins portray a wonderful array of Australian wildlife and through the 50c coin depicting Australia’s Coat of Arms, all of Australia’s people are represented. The $1 kangaroo coin joined our coinage in 1984 and the $2 coin in 1988. The design on the $2 coin pays tribute to one of the earth’s oldest cultures, represented by the striking image of an Aboriginal elder.
