2004 50c Primary School Student Winning Design Silver Proof Coin

John Serrano’s, a Year 5/6 student (2003) at St Peter’s Primary School, East Keilor, Victoria, winning hand drawn design incorporates three Australian icons; a koala holding onto a gum tree, a lorikeet with wings out-stretched and a wombat. The reverse of the coin is struck with the winning designer’s initials ‘JS’. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.
