Prince William was born in London at 9.03pm on 21 June 1982. Christened William Arthur Philip Louis by the Archbishop of Canterbury at Buckingham Palace, he is second in line of succession to the British throne, following his father, Charles, The Prince of Wales, who is heir apparent. The official colour photograph of Prince William featured on the reverse of this coin is by George Bodnar, Camera Press London. As well as the inscription "H.R.H. Prince William of Wales twenty-first BIRTHDAY 21.06.2003", the coin also bears a depiction of his Coat of Arms in frosted relief.
