2002 50c 50th Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II Accession PNC

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II succeeded to the throne of Great Britain on 6 February 1952 and was crowned more than a year later on 2 June 1953. The Golden Jubilee celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Queen's accession. She was just 25 years of age and travelling in Kenya with the Duke of Edinburgh when her father, King George VI, died. Throughout her reign Queen Elizabeth's priorities have been loyalty and service to her people.
