2002 $1 Golden Jubilee Queen Elizabeth II 1oz Silver Coloured Proof Coin

The centre of the coin shows Queen Elizabeth II on horseback during the Trooping of the Colour, an annual ceremony which marks her official birthday. A coloured image of the Union Jack flag is shown in the background. The outer design displays a ring of Foot Guards, who are most often seen on duty outside Buckingham Palace. Each year, one of five regiments - Grenadiers, Coldstream Guards, Scots, Irish or Welsh Guards - displays its Colour in this ceremony. The design for this commemorative coin is issued with the approval of Buckingham Palace.
