1993 Mint Set

Australia is the lucky country in all but one respect - water resources. With an ever-growing population putting an increasing strain on our agricultural requirements, water can no longer be taken for granted. To help raise awareness about the importance of water quality, the Royal Australian Mint and Landcare Australia have combined to produce this six coin Uncirculated Set. Its unique centrepiece is a new $1 coin design of a tree formed out of flowing waters. This symbolises the extremely important relationship between water quality and the environment.
