1992 $1 Barcelona Olympics Silver Proof Coin

The coin features a female Javelin thrower designed by Margaret Priest and is a tribute to the spirit of competition, fair play and togetherness that symbolises the modern Olympics. The design is also significant in that the female Javelin thrower is only the second female to appear on the reverse of an Australian decimal coin, the first being the Princess of Wales.
