1989 Mint Set

This eight coin Uncirculated Set pays tribute to some of Australia’s original inhabitants. The feather tail glider curls up on the 1c coin. The frill necked lizard resides on the 2c coin. The 5c coin is the home of the spiny ant eater (echidna). The 10c and 20c coins display two more unique Australians, the lyrebird and the platypus. Australia’s crest on the 50c coin features both the emu and the kangaroo. A jumping kangaroo is also depicted on the $1 coin. The $2 coin completes the set with a portrait of Australia's earliest human inhabitant, the Aborigine.
