1852 Adelaide Pound Type II

Adelaide pounds are Australia's first gold coins produced with Australian ore and without Royal permission.  This example is the type II and has seen better days. It has most likely been in jewellery as was common with a lot of early gold coins. Still a rare piece of Australian history that makes an affordable gap filler.
