2025 50c Treasured Australian Stories Dorothy Mackellar Dawn Uncirculated Coin

The family property, Kurrumbede, near Gunnedah in New South Wales was a continuous well of inspiration and comfort for Dorothea Mackellar throughout her life. She was inspired to write the poem Dawn while visiting, where she undoubtedly witnessed and marvelled at the sheer beauty of many glorious sun rises. Dawn appeared along with My Country in Mackellar’s first book, The Closed Door, and Other Verses, published in 1911.
