2007 Proof Set

In 1907, Australia’s first Surf Lifesaving Club was founded at Bondi. Since then volunteer lifesavers have rescued more than 500,000 people around Australia. A century on, 2007 has been declared Year of the Surf Lifesaver to honour 100 years of service by the men and women who patrol our beaches. This six coin Proof Set includes a special $1 commemorative coin that features a dramatic image of a team rescue on the reverse which captures the spirit of surf lifesaving.
