Town Hall Coins is a well-known and loved part of the Town Hall Square retail precinct and we pride ourselves on our vast array of coins and collectables from across the world. We do our best to keep our website up to date with all current stock, but you’ll always find something new and interesting when visiting our retail shop.
Our Story
From the latest modern Australian releases to genuine ancient Roman coins used for transactions thousands of years ago, we have a passion for numismatics and love sharing in that with our customers.
Our store is not exclusively focused on high end items, we sell coins from around of the world for as little as 20c in our bargain box which have proven to be a hit with both casual tourists and even young children who get to learn a little more about the history of Australian coinage.
For clients looking to diversify into the coins, banknotes and collectables area we also offer tailored collections to suit an array of interests and needs.

Here at Town Hall Coins we believe in rewarding our customers with minimal limitations.
For every dollar spent you will receive a 1% credit to your account. This will accumulate and does not have an expiry date.
This credit is redeemable on any items available online or in store. The only products we are unable to offer this program in conjunction with is bullion and selected sale stock.
Many of our longstanding clients are often pleased to learn that they have accumulated a sizeable balance in their loyalty account which can be put towards a purchase or offset shipping costs.

Before 2016 our store was proudly owned and operated for over 25 years by our partners, Downies. For over a decade prior to running the store David was representing Downies as their Senior Numismatist and was based in the shop.
Since 2016 David is now the owner and operator of Town Hall Coins and we have been an authorised dealer of Downies and continue to supply our clients with their full official range of stock.
