Paddington Bear first debuted in the book ‘A Bear Called Paddington’ by Michael Bond. In further books, Paddington has explored London near and far with his friend Mr. Gruber, including the book “Paddington at St Paul’s”.
Designed by Royal Mint designer David Knapton, the coin shows Paddington™ in his blue duffle coat, lifting his battered old bush hat (where he usually keeps an emergency marmalade sandwich!). Behind him is St Paul’s Cathedral, one of London’s most famous sights.
